I was shot in the thigh...

Yes...I was shot in the thigh. This morning Mum and I was out for a stroll. She was already there when we arrived, somehow she just knew that we would turn up. The person who shot me wore a white robe, she had two additional pieces of glass in front of her eyes to help her see clearly, far more clearly than her victims, so that she could get them before they could even see her. So far she hadn't missed a single shot, at least that was what the others claimed. And they called her The Pediatrician.

Can you see the bandage on my thigh? This was where she shot me. It's a mark of my bravery facing The Pediatrician...but I survived! When I was shot, it felt like an ant-bite initially, then I felt a sense of coldness in my thigh, it must be the liquid they called the Vaccine (DPT + Hep-B) which the syringe held. I did not let out a cry, unlike the others, only a soft whine. But still, she heard. "So you feel the coldness now," she said smugly. She must be celebrating over another successful shot, I could tell from the smile on her face.

Defeated, publicly humiliated. This was more than I could bear. I turned my head away, I did not even want to look at Mum because she looked more like an accomplice to me.

Well, I had my revenge.....I poohed and stunk the whole room!

The Pediatrician offered Mum a diaper, wet wipes and a new room to clean me up. I heard Mum said "Thank you, doc" twice with much gratitude. Then the nurse came in and asked Mum to give me some pink liquid to prevent fever. It tasted awful! But Mum said that it was good for me and she cajoled me to take more. I finished the whole syringe and Mum called me "A good girl" which was pleasing to my ears.

We went out of the room and Mum paid $148 for the jab and the medication. Hmm.... it wasn't cheap at all.

Getting Well

Halo everyone, how are you? Healthy, I hope? I have been sick for the past few days, blocked nose, slight cough, and also occasional slight fever. It must be some sick child in my infant care who passed the disease to me. Ay...what to do, that's life, it's either you get it from someone or someone get it from you. The doc said I am sufferring from minor throat infection, but I don't have phlegm in my lung. She explained alot to my daddy and mummy, and also showed them some pics, but I don't understand a single thing she said.

This doc is wierd, she asked my mummy to "feed" me water through my nose. The water tasted a bit salty, did not taste like the white-white liquid fed through my mouth. But somehow, I got better after a few sessions of feeding. I am feeling much better now, the mucus is no more yellowish and I don't have fever anymore. The salty solution is doing it's magic. See, now I can "stand" on four and I can even move backwards.
